The Australian Italian Festival is an authentic Italian cultural event held on the first weekend of August in Ingham, North Queensland. The two-day carnival began in 1995 as a way to celebrate the economic and cultural diversity of our community. We are excited to bring you our 22nd annual event in which we transform the award-winning TYTO into a huge piazza with nonstop world-class entertainment on two stages.
Join us for homemade Italian cuisine, Italian wine, endless entertainment and an opportunity to learn more about Italian culture. Our event features cooking competitions, endless food market stalls, Italian art and history, free amusement rides and games for all ages. Spend time with family and friends as you enjoy the atmosphere, food, and excitement of our Australian Italian Festival.
Festival events are held on the 6th and 7th of August, but don't miss the three events leading up to our two-day carnival weekend. Book your tickets for the Hair and Fashion Show, the Australian Italian Model Search and the Gala Masquerade Ball. These events are scheduled on the Thursday and Friday leading up the carnival and are pre-purchased ticketed events.
